Before you get started, I want you to understand that I know how uncomfortable it can feel to show your face on Stories. 

I know because I've been there before and it would paralyze and frustrate me because I knew that in order for my audience to truly trust me, they had to see me show up as an actual human being. 

So if you're feeling uncomfortable about showing your face on Stories, this will help!

First, remember that Stories can be deleted. So if you don't like the way one of your Story segments turned out, you can simply delete it. We're aiming for imperfect action so these Stories that you're gonna create... they're not gonna be perfect, especially the first time around.

Second, the number one reason you feel uncomfortable is because... you're making this about you. You don't like the way you look on camera, you don't like the sound of your voice, you don't have a good background to speak in front of, you don't know what to say... 

I know! I've been there!

Imagine for a second that you're about to meet someone in person for a consultation. They're interested in doing business with you, but they just have a few questions they'd like to have answered first. Would you let any of those issues listed above prevent you from answering that potential customer's questions? 

Of course not!

So here's how to get over that feeling of discomfort: you're gonna position yourself as a guide. 

Someone out there is looking for a guide to help them solve their problems. It's the way the human brain is designed. 

The human brain is constantly scanning its environment to either survive or thrive. And everyone has a problem that they need to solve! So if you won't be that guide for them, they will immediately look for someone else.

So as we create these stories, think of one person who you know in real life who needs your help and speak to that person. Your messaging and delivery of it will come across so much clearer, it will make much more sense, and other people who are watching your stories will resonate with it because you're speaking to one person.
